Highlighted Events

(August 2008) In collaboration with Lanell Care International Missions, Inc., HSC had the opportunity to send a 40 foot container of care items and medical supplies for 3 orphanages (350children); 2 clinics and local hospital to Monrovia, Liberia. Items included: school supplies, backpacks, clothing, shoes, baby food, books, teddy bears/toys, hospital beds, several exam tables, medical staff uniforms, operating and delivery room equipment, food and medications.

(March 2009) HSC, in collaboration with Sister’s of Saint Francis, had the opportunity to send a 40 foot container of care items and medical supplies for 4 orphanages (400 children) to Tanzania, East Africa. Items included: school supplies, backpacks, clothing, shoes, baby food, books, teddy bears/toys, food and medications.  *(Shipment Arrival Date: July 15, 2009)

(May/ June 2009) HSC recently connected to 4 orphanages (total of 350 to 400 children) in the rural areas of Tanzania, East Africa. With intent to coordinate a Missions Trip for distribution of care items and necessities to the children in their care.

(September 18, 2009) Heaven Sent Charities hosted our first annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway & Community Fair at ME Pearson Elementary School in Kansas City, KS. HSC provided 250 backpacks; over 200 teddies bears and books to 250 homeless children through the USD 500 Homeless Liaison Office. HSC also gave 600 books, that were donated by the Kansas City Public Library, to 600 children at the community fair. HSC collaborated with over 20 community vendors who participated at the event. The KS Fire Department and KS Police Department were also in attendance. HSC also provided lunch (hotdogs; cake; cookies; drinks) to 600children, teachers, parents, and vendors. (All of which were donated by local grocery stores (Happy Foods and Leon’s Thriftway). Teddy bears were collected and donated by the North Kansas City Hospital Surgery Department; Backpacks were donated by COSTCO Wholesale Club.

(December 16, 2009) Heaven Sent Charities participated in the Homeless Holiday Party hosted by the Homeless Liaison-USD 500 Organization of Kansas City, KS. Where HSC gave away 250 Christmas Teddy Bears to 75 families with over 150 homeless children.
